Repairs and installations across Albion are our regular run. No owner names, no trading history, no slogans. What follows is the licence behind the work, how a job runs from your first call, and the documents you keep at the end.

Plumber, Drainer and Gasfitter Licences Explained
Queensland runs two licence layers, and the QBCC issues both. An occupational licence covers whoever performs the plumbing and drainage work. A contractor licence covers the business taking the job on, showing it has the financial capacity and the commercial training to run jobs properly.
Each trade then sits in its own licence class:
Plumber
covers the pipes and fixtures on the property, apart from work that needs a separate endorsement.
Drainer
covers drainage below ground level, with the same endorsement exception.
Gasfitter
Queensland permits only a licensed gasfitter for gas work. That spans installing or removing a gas system, altering or repairing it, and servicing, testing and certifying the system, its pipework and connections. Before gas work starts, you can ask to see the worker's gas work licence.
How a Plumbing Job Runs From Call to Finish
- 1

Describe the Fault
Phone (07) 3523 7172 or fill in the form with what you're seeing. The more detail you give, the better prepared we arrive.
- 2

Diagnose It on Site
We test on the visit rather than guess. That might mean meter checks on an old cottage line, pressure readings at a unit-block mixer, or isolating one fixture to narrow the fault down.
- 3

Quote and Get Your Go-Ahead
A fixed quote comes before any work starts: flat-rate pricing, no hidden fees, and your go-ahead first.
- 4

Do the Work, Test It, Hand Over the Paperwork
We carry out the repair or installation, test that everything works, and give you whatever documents the job generates before we leave.

$0 call-out fees, available 24/7, and same-day where we can.

Paperwork and Inspections After a Job
Two bodies share oversight: the QBCC licenses plumbers, registers notifiable work and investigates unlicensed jobs, while the local council assesses applications, issues permits and inspects.
The paperwork you receive depends on the job:
Form 4
notifiable work earns one, and a copy goes to the owner or whoever engaged us. Ask the QBCC if yours never turns up.
Gas certificate
once gas work finishes on a new system or an alteration, the licensed gasfitter hands the owner the compliance certificate for the gas system straight away. A copy reaches the gas network operator inside 5 days.
Council inspection
an owner can request one for notifiable work at any point. An inspector may attend with the occupier's consent.
Notifiable work must meet the code requirements for the job, and everything installed must be a product approved for use as plumbing or drainage.
Plumbing Across Neighbouring Suburbs
Our licensed plumbers work from Albion Road to Sandgate Road and into every suburb touching them: Wooloowin, Clayfield, Ascot, Hamilton, Newstead, Windsor and Lutwyche. Lutwyche and Bowen Hills have their own pages, and the full catchment sits on our suburbs we cover list.
Gas jobs link to our gas fitter page, and a full reno to bathroom renovation plumbing. You can also book a plumber through the form.
Questions About Licences and Paperwork
Call (07) 3523 7172How do I check a plumber's licence in Queensland?
Search the QBCC's online registers. A licence lookup confirms the plumber holds a current licence, and an address lookup shows whether a Form 4 was registered for the property.
What is the difference between a plumber and a drainer?
The work each licence covers. A plumber's licence covers the pipes and fixtures on the property, while a drainer's licence covers drainage below ground level, and each excludes work needing its own endorsement.
What paperwork do I get after plumbing work in Albion?
Notifiable work ends with a Form 4 copy for whoever engaged the plumber, and gas work ends with a gas system compliance certificate. If a Form 4 never arrives, the QBCC can supply a copy.
Do you work on units and rentals in Albion as well as houses?
Yes, we work for owner-occupiers, landlords, tenants and unit owners, from cottages behind Sandgate Road to unit blocks off Albion Road. Approvals differ: a rental repair runs through the owner or manager, and unit jobs can need body corporate sign-off.
